Perth-Based Orion invest almost half of the money in the company to Prieska mine in South Africa , this is the virgin investment aboard for the company. Prieska mine was closed in 1991 due to the political issue, produced 430,000 Mt cooper mineral and 1000,000 Mt Zinc mineral.
“In the next several years, the demand of Zinc remeaning huge” said Denis Waddell, “it still favorable, we keep the relative good view still.” The Zinc has the best indication in the Bloomberg product, after increasing 60% still keep the tendency last year, the price had increased 9.8% this year. Mitsui Mining & Smelting Co.also considering resume the mining operation of Huanzala mine inthe Peru which was a stopped project before. Glencore shows they are focus on the process cost, in order to decide if could resume producing.
